Summary: Currently, the author is making several changes to support her healing journey. To reduce her toxic load, she has switched to pink Himalayan salt, toxin-free beauty products, and using a shower filter. Rebounding for 20 minutes daily boosts her fitness and mood. Drinking lemon water every morning detoxifies,.  The author notices she feels exhausted but assumes it is the detoxification process.

I just wanted to make a few quick notes about things that I’m changing in my life at the moment that are leading to my healing.  A lot of things are happening concurrently so it’s definitely time for this record.

Firstly, I’ve recently made a lot of changes to my life in order to address my toxic load.  I have removed regular salt from my diet and replaced it with pink Himalayan salt.  I have also removed a lot of my beauty toxins.  I still tend to shower daily but I have a filter on my shower so the water quality is better.  I continue to only wash my body with water and use no other products.  I wash my hair twice a week (instead of daily) and use shampoo and conditioner that is free of sulfates, parabens and silicones.  I also now dry-brush my skin before showering to further remove toxins. I have also switched my deodorant to an aluminium-free brand.  I still use regular toothpaste and make-up, plus I occasionally use dry shampoo for my hair.  I think that is all the beauty toxins that remain in my day-to-day life.

Another action I have taken that is decreasing my body’s toxic load is rebounding.  I am now rebounding for twenty minutes a day.  It’s certainly helping my general fitness but has the added benefit of bringing more fun into my life…  I enjoy it!  I feel like a kid on a bouncy castle as I do it!!

I have also started drinking lemon water first thing every morning (a blog post is coming on this soon!).  It’s great for removing toxins and cleansing the system.

Interestingly, as I’ve been doing all this, I have been feeling ABSOLUTELY EXHAUSTED!!!!  I just want to curl up on the sofa and tell the world to go away!!  I’m actually taking this as a really good sign that all the detoxing steps I’m taking right now are truly helping my body.  Intuitively, I feel like I’m stepping in the right direction.

There are also a couple of things that I have stopped doing.  I wrote in my blog post here about taking steps to healing my Attention Deficit Disorder with green tea, classical music and walks in nature.  I actually found that green tea did not work well for me.  I suspect it was the caffeine in it that left me feeling jittery and on-edge so I stopped that.  The classical music just didn’t really seem to do anything for me, despite many hours of listening.  And the walks in  nature are no longer possible for me, now that I’m living in such a hot and arid climate.  I have still maintained my commitment to being in nature, though, by doing open water swimming in the sea.

That’s all for now!
