Summary: Exploring deeper into my internal journey, I’m realizing its messy, non-linear nature. Inspired by others’ healing stories, I’m delving into Joe Dispenza’s work and reevaluating ADHD as rooted in childhood issues. With new insights from Wayne Dyer and posture awareness, I’m reshaping my healing path towards joy, trust, and self-transformation.

I’ve been thinking about how to get more of my internal process on the blog.  The thing is, this stuff is messy, it doesn’t flow in a nice constructed way.  I loop about, change direction and just sometimes stop half-way through.  These inner workings feel very vulnerable to expose and maybe not what I want out on the web but my gut is telling me that the real journey to healing will be in this stuff as much as it will be in the polished blog posts that appear on my site.  So I’ve decided to create these ‘Notes from the Workshop’ down as I go along to try to give some insight, both to myself and others, on how my inner healing is progressing.  My current thoughts are:

  • I’ve just watched a YouTube video about a woman who healed herself from cancer.  It’s definitely made me more interested in Joe Dispenza’s work (I’ve only flicked through his books so far, not made a honourable effort with them).  I’m now particularly interested in his ‘Blessings of the Energy Centers’ recordings.  I might have to buy those.  I was also interested to learn that she meditates three times a day.  I need to up mine.   I currently meditate once a day for 15 minutes.  And I do find that hard work.  My brain just really, really will not shut up, even for a minute.  It’s hard work but I’m sticking with it.  And she also spoke about trusting in joy and love, and challenging yourself.  Both of these things are on my hit-list already.  I just don’t know how to action them.
  • I really struggle with actioning anything.  It’s got much worse as I’ve got older.  You could just say it’s because of ADHD but I think that ADHD is just a label for an underlying issue.  I like how Dr Gabor Mate speaks about that…  ADHD just being a result of childhood issues, not a pathological brain disorder.  And, I figure that, as the brain has an amazing ability to change itself at any age (that reminds me I still need to read the book ‘Livewired’ by David Eagleman’), then the ADHD patterning can also be healed.
  •  I’m thinking about fun.  How can I increase the fun (and therefore hopefully joy) in my life?  I think the more I can get that in my life, the easier my  healing journey will be.
  •  I’m in the middle of reading Dr Wayne Dyer’s ‘Wishes Fulfilled’.  He speaks about building a new self.  I think this aligns well with Dr Joe Dispenza’s ‘Breaking the Habit of Being Yourself’.  And I think my key to healing is in here.  I believe that, everyday, my current programming – both physical and mental – is choosing to maintain my diabetic status.  I don’t think it has to be that way.  I can choose something new for me and my body.  I just need to give it a new story.  One where it is safe and well.
  •  I’m thinking about my posture quite a lot at the moment.  I am doing a chakra healing workshop and, when we covered the heart chakra, my instructor said that, if you have been emotionally hurt and therefore your heart chakra is out of balance, you will hunch over to protect it.  I am always slouched.  I am wondering if i can help to reprogram myself towards a safe and well version of myself by working on my posture.  If I sit and stand with my back in alignment, I am telling my body and psyche that all is well and that I’m safe.  The more i do it, the more the message is sent.  I think it also opens up the energy channel along my spine where chi flows.  And that can only help my healing.

That’s all for now.
